Our Story: A Filipino Family Kitchen
Mar's Sisig is a family-owned Filipino restaurant group founded by husband-and-wife team Marson and Christine Ocampo, who turned their long-held dream of running a Filipino restaurant into three welcoming Winnipeg locations: 2142 McPhillips St in Garden City, 1303 Jefferson Ave in The Maples, and 1051 Winnipeg Ave in the North End.
From sizzling sisig—chargrilled pork with citrus, onion, chili and egg—to crispy pata, lechon kawali, and slow-simmered classics like bulalo, kare-kare and sinigang, every dish is prepared with authentic Filipino flavour and generous portions. The menu also features comfort-food staples such as lumpia Shanghai, pancit bihon, beef pares combos, chopsuey and pinakbet, plus silog breakfast combos served from 7 a.m. at our McPhillips restaurant.
Marson Ocampo has served as the family's head cook since Mar's Sisig began during the pandemic years, building a loyal following of Filipino families and neighbours across the North End, Garden City and The Maples. The newest McPhillips location offers private and large party event space for up to 250 guests, while all three locations welcome guests for dine-in, takeout, delivery, online ordering, and catering seven days a week.
